A modest home which had been extended several times by previous owners. There was a huge opportunity to re-configure the 1st floor layout and create a spacious master bedroom with an en suite over looking the woodland and a bespoke dressing room. The guest bedrooms were also reconfigured to maximise storage and make way for larger en suites. The Client requested a 'hotel boutique' contemporary look and for each bedroom and en suite to have their own identity.
In the master bedroom we centralised the opening into the en suite using a pocket door system and increased the size of the en suite window. This allowed for views of the woodland to be enjoyed throughout both rooms. A striking marble was chosen and complimented with bronze hardware. The bedroom’s bespoke fluted headboard took centre stage and was contrasted with a scheme of blue, walnut and gold. It was important to ensure the open plan dressing room was attractive from all angles as you walked around the bedroom. The rich fluted walnut wardrobe doors were off set with hammered gold handles.
In the family bathroom we created a very calm and tranquil look using veined marble and accents of eucalyptus. The oversized bath was a 'must' for total relaxation. A teal accent in the primary guest bedroom was continued into the en suite with a feature teal wall tile.
